Residents waiting for responses from Council

Posted on

Between the notification by Council of the intended Koolunga wetland plan and the ‘soft close’ date on 6 April announced by Council for submissions about the wetland, our members (residents) sent Council many letters and emails addressed to Council officers and councillors about the Council’s proposed wetland. Almost all of the writers have told us they not received any replies at all from Council.   In some cases this is over 7 weeks since the resident sent the letter or email to Council. We wonder why Council is taking so long to respond to residents’ queries about Council’s intention to drastically reduce the public amenity and remove the open green space in Koolunga.

We ask Knox City Council to respond to the community questions in line with Knox’s Community Engagement Policy.
